We're open to all majors at the Indiana House Democratic Caucus

IHDC's 2025 Legislative Session Internship Program application deadline is Oct. 31, so apply soon!

We get it. When you hear “Legislative Session Internship Program” and “Indiana House of Representatives,” you might think this opportunity is only suited for students and recent graduates who have pursued political science or pre-law opportunities.

But we want to make sure you know the Indiana House Democratic Caucus is open to considering all majors for our internship.

Since the Indiana House of Representatives deals with nearly all aspects of Hoosiers’ lives, from education and healthcare to agriculture and the environment, we need interns and staff with expertise in a variety of disciplines.

Additionally, our interns work in departments across our caucus, including constituent services, communications, fiscal policy, policy analysis, publications, and the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus.

This is all to say: Your experiences in school and work are most likely transferable to the work we do here at IHDC, so if you’re eager to roll up your sleeves and work hard, we’re excited to consider you for our internship program!
